Lexus NX200t 2016

People are divided on the Lexus NX200t. While it received a strong 4.5 out of 5 stars on Edmunds.com, for example, Car and Driver gave the small crossover a not-so-hot 3 stars out of 5. So, why the differing opinions on this vehicle? Well, as always, it comes down to what you like

.
Let’s start with the aesthetics. The NX200t is a sleek, but starkly-styled vehicle. It’s elegant and slender, and yet the sharpness of its details make it almost barracuda-like. Depending on your preferences, then, the NX200t’s looks might be appealing, or a bit too much.

The NX200t’s cabin, meanwhile, is gorgeous. It has a modern and luxurious look. It offers nice smartphone connectivity and a range of high-tech features. And with body-hugging seats, it also manages to be incredibly comfortable. This vehicle does, however, lose points for its disappointing lack of cargo capacity. Fill it with a few passengers and their gear, and it’ll begin to feel quite crowded.

So, down to the guts. The NX200t’s turbo-charged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gushes power, which means it boasts respectable speed despite its relative heft (it tips the scales at almost 4,000 lbs). So, at the end of the day, what you get in the NX200t is a respectably performing vehicle with a bold (almost over-the-top) exterior, a luxurious interior, and a regrettable storage deficit.

Depending on your preferences, then, it could be a great choice, or a bit of a disappointment—probably the reason for the conflicting reviews it’s received.
