Lexus ES350 2016

You’ll be hard-pressed to find negative reviews of the Lexus ES350. Edmunds rated it 4.5 stars out of 5. The Car Connection and Kelly Blue Book both gave it 8.2 stars out of 10. The sedan has been tremendously well-received, and for good reason. Let’s start from the outside and work our way in.

The most striking feature of the ES350 is its grille. Let’s just say Lexus went all out on this detail of the car’s appearance—and somehow, it works. It also hasn’t stopped the car from selling like crack on an inner-city corner. Aside from the sizeable grille, the ES350 boasts a sleek, but powerful silhouette—an easy look to love.

Now, let’s take a peek under the hood. This entry-level luxury whip comes standard with a 3.5 litre V-6—a nice step up from the 2 litre, four-cylinder engines found in its close relatives. It packs 268 horsepower, a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, and can run 0-60 in about 6.4 seconds. So, yeah—it’s fast.

Inside, the ES350 is no less appealing. It comes in a range of upholstery and trim colour combinations with classy sounding names like “parchment,” and “piano black.” And needless to say, they all look fantastic. The ES350 also features 4.2-inch centre display—a slight upgrade from previous models.

At the end of the day, of course, the appeal of the ES350 is its look and muscle. It’s streamlined, its sexy, and it’s fun to drive—what’s not to love?
